You can find all kind of waste on a surf factory. To have a new surfboard a track of waste is left behind, just need some creativity and environmental care to make use of those waste materials.
It’s already known the recycling program used by MATTA, by collecting waste EPS Foam to pack the boards and to turn it directly into a new surfboard blank.

But more can be done and with that in mind Nuno Matta start looking at his factory to get ideas for the booth furniture, that needed to be set up during last month event Caparica Primavera Surf Fest, and for the trophies for the Caparica Pro WQS and European Pro Junior.

So, Nuno start collecting waste materials in his factory and turned fiber cardboard rolls and pallets into a table; made another table from a resin drum; made two seats, one from a wasted tail foam and the other from a diluent drum; and the events trophies were made from broken surfboards.
